President – Alisa Mac Cormac
Alisa has lived in the northeast part of Walnut Creek for over 10 years and in that time has been very active with the local schools and city. At Valle Verde Elementary she is PTA Vice President, Chair for the Safety Committee and Chair for the Landscape Committee. She also serves on Northgate High School’s Safety Committee, is the Co-founder and Coordinator for the Northgate Education Council, and volunteers downtown for the Diablo Regional Arts Association and the Walnut Creek Police Department. Professionally, she works full time at Contra Costa County ARC Inroads which offers services to people with developmental disabilities. She has been an ongoing participant in Valle Verdes PTA, Foothills PFA and Northgate’s PFC is various rolls including PTA President, Vice President, Clean-up day leader and co-developed and Emergency Disaster Preparation plan at two schools, launched a successful crossing guard program and Street Safety program and developed and implemented a 5-year plan to construct different educational gardens including bug, butterfly and bird gardens. Over the years, she has volunteered for several local city campaigns and worked for Walnut Creek’s Specialized Recreation Department. She has a degree in Behavioral Psychology from the University of Washington.
Kimberly Harris, Vice President
Kim has been an active member of the local school community, where she has served on Valle Verde Elementary School’s Site Council, PTA Board, Landscape and Safety Committees; Foothill Middle School’s Site Council and PFA Board; Northgate High School’s Safety Committee and taught PEP/Smart Start. She has also been active in the community, serving on the Board of Oak Grove Swim Club, the Parent Committees for Cub Scout Pack 464 and Boy Scout Troop 302, and has volunteered over the years for various local youth sports organizations. In these school and community volunteer roles, Kim has led successful fundraising and recruiting campaigns, served as a youth leader and educator, helped to develop and implement emergency preparedness and school safety plans, analyzed student data and reviewed school student achievement plans and worked on various budgetary issues. Currently an inactive member of the California State Bar, Kim also has had a successful legal career with a Wall Street law firm before moving to Walnut Creek. Prior to obtaining her law degree, Kim worked for a national bank in international finance. Kim received a BA in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, an MBA from the Walter A. Haas School of Business and a JD from Boalt Hall School of Law.
Treasurer – Jeff Unlap
Jeff is an active member of the community in the East Bay. He helped found a referral group named Business Success Team and is currently Vice President of Membership. He is also President of the East Bay BYU Management Society. He is also a member of the Contra Costa Bar Association and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has been a CPA for 19 years and an attorney for 5 years. He received his undergraduate degree in accounting at the University of Southern California and his law degree at the University of San Francisco. Before building a successful CPA practice and law practice, Jeff has had a successful business career at some large Fortune 500 companies. He now works with small business and medium size businesses (including NonProfits) in the following areas: tax, accounting and bookkeeping, tax representation of clients in front of the IRS and Franchise Tax Board, Employment law and business law.
